This month Hansford Bell sponsored the Tavy 13 half marathon. What a great event! The sun was out, a light breeze and great running conditions!

Well done to all those who took part and in particular Ben Neale and Rachel Malthouse of Tavistock Run Project who came first in their respective races. Congratulations also to the Tavistock Run Project team who also came first in the team event.

As well as the main event, the day saw the completion of the primary School Challenge. Local primary school pupils have been running 1 mile each week for the 12 weeks leading up to race day. On the day, the children ran the final mile around Tavistock College grounds and completed their own half marathons. Well done to all the children who took part – some fantastic efforts!
