This month’s team update takes us away from the office and up to London for a very special evening.
We were delighted to be shortlisted for Retirement Adviser of the Year 2026 at the Moneyfacts Awards, and Emma, Becky, and Janine headed along to the ceremony to represent Hansford Bell.
While we didn’t come away with the award this time, being shortlisted was still something we were incredibly pleased to celebrate.
The Moneyfacts Awards gave us the chance to spend an evening with others from across the financial services profession and celebrate the work being done across the industry.
Of course, we would have loved to bring the trophy back to Devon with us, but we still had a brilliant evening and were very proud to see Hansford Bell recognised among the finalists.
It gave us the chance to step back from the day-to-day work in the office and reflect on the support we provide to clients in achieving their long-term goals.
We also had a great evening together and, despite not taking home the prize, there was still plenty to celebrate.
Most importantly, we wanted to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone who provided a testimonial to support our entry.
We know that taking the time to share your experience of working with us is an extra ask, so we really do appreciate everyone who helped.
Reading your comments was also a brilliant reminder of why we do what we do.
Your testimonials played a vital role, and we’re grateful for your continued support and trust.
Hopefully, we’ll have another opportunity to go one step further next time!
Closer to home, Becky also gave up her Sunday morning to volunteer at Tour de Moor to support St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth.

The event brought together riders and volunteers on Dartmoor to raise support for the local charity, our charity of the year.
Becky said:
“An early start in the brisk Dartmoor weather, but I really enjoyed volunteering and being part of such a fantastic event supporting an important local charity.
Well done to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success!”
We’re always pleased to support St Luke’s and the vital work they do for people and families across the local area, so it was brilliant to see Becky getting involved on the day.
In the meantime, if you’d like some help managing your finances, please call us on 01822 617 960, email info@hansfordbell.co.uk, or fill in our online contact form, and we’ll be in touch.
