The cost
Financial planning requires clear action in order to help you navigate important, personal decisions. The cost of advice should not add uncertainty to that process.
Too often, people feel unsure what they will pay, when fees apply, or whether advice will offer value for them. That can make it harder to take the first step, even when support could make a meaningful difference.
You deserve to understand the cost of advice before deciding whether to proceed. Clear fees help you feel informed, prepared, and confident that the service is right for your circumstances.
At Hansford Bell, fees are explained clearly before any work begins, so you know what to expect and can make an informed decision.
Your initial consultation is at no cost to you. We want to give you the opportunity to talk through your circumstances, understand how we may be able to help, and decide whether working together feels right.
If you choose to proceed, we will explain the recommended service, the work involved, and the fees that apply. No confusion, no pressure, and no unexpected costs.
The cost of advice depends on the complexity of your circumstances and the service you need. Our minimum fee is £1,000, and a typical financial plan costs £1,500.
For clients who choose ongoing support, our fees are usually charged as a percentage of the investments we manage. We will explain exactly what this includes before you decide whether to proceed.
We do not charge VAT and we do not receive commission for investment advice, although commission may apply to protection products and equity release, where relevant.
