Hansford Bell Takes Part in the Annual Tavistock Dickensian Evening

Hansford Bell have been getting in the festive spirit at the annual Dickensian evening once again!

In this year’s window display, we told the history of Tavistock, from the mid-nineteenth-century Town Hall, the surviving remnants of Tavistock Abbey and the early twentieth century ‘Arts and Crafts’ buildings. Did you manage to spot it all?

With a snow machine and a living statue all adding to the festive atmosphere at Hansford Bell HQ, the evening was full of festive magic! Across Tavistock, there were steam engines and a range of street entertainment, and many local shops kept their doors open late. From the smell of hot chestnuts to carol singing to a beautiful lantern parade and Father Christmas, our Christmas hearts were well and truly stirred!

To top it all off, Hansford Bell won the Mayor’s Award for telling the story of Tavistock so beautifully in our window display.
