It’s been another busy month for the team at Hansford Bell, but one highlight definitely stands out.
On Thursday 16 April, we were delighted to host the EDGE Southwest Conference in Exeter, and we’re pleased to say it was a roaring success.
We’ve been looking forward to this event for quite some time now, so it was incredibly rewarding to see everything come together on the day.
From the turnout to the conversations taking place at the venue, there was a real sense of energy and collaboration from start to finish.

We’d first like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the event.
It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout, and even better to see so many people fully engaged with the sessions and discussions.
Events like these only really work when people are willing to contribute, and that was certainly the case on the day.
We’d also like to extend special thanks to our speakers. Every session brought something different to the day, and the quality and insight of the discussion were exactly what we’d hoped for when we first started planning the event.
While the conference was primarily aimed at others in the financial planning profession, the real value comes from what we take away from it.
These events give us the chance to step outside our day-to-day work, hear different perspectives, and challenge how we think about the advice we provide.
For you, this means we can continue refining our approach, stay up to date with developments in the profession, and bring fresh ideas to the way we support you and your long-term plans.
Looking ahead to future events
One of the main aims of the conference was to create a space for collaboration and learning, and we’re pleased with how well that came across.
It’s something we’re excited to build on going forward, so this definitely won’t be the last event of its kind.
We’ll be looking at how we can take what we learned from this year and make future events even better.
