The new year is finally here! While we all took some well-earned time off over the festive period, the team is back, refreshed, and ready to help you achieve your goals in 2026.

Announcing the EDGE Southwest Conference
We’re thrilled to officially announce that we’re hosting the EDGE Southwest Conference at the Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel on 16 April!
Excitingly, it has already received media attention from Money Marketing for being a unique event in the region.
While the event is mostly aimed at financial planners, for you as a client, it means the team will have the chance to share ideas and learn from others to improve the quality of service we provide.
The focus of the day is on collaboration, which will help us refine how we support our clients.
We’re all looking forward to taking what we learn and using it to help you tackle challenges and achieve your long-term goals.
Learning from the experts at the True Potential Adviser Conference
On Tuesday 27 January, a few members of our team attended True Potential’s 2026 Adviser Conference.
The seminar included an impressive line-up of speakers, including:
- Gerry Mallon, chief executive of the True Potential Group
- Geoff Ramm, creator and author of Celebrity Service
- Tim Peake, the first British astronaut to travel to the International Space Station.
As an independent firm, we believe it’s vital to step outside of our own four walls and engage with the wider profession.
Attending events such as this allows us to hear different viewpoints and stay informed on changes in the wider industry.
This, in turn, ensures our independent advice is informed by the best possible insights.
Innovating at the Timeline Growth Series
Continuing our commitment to stay ahead of the curve, we also travelled to Aerospace Bristol on Thursday 29 January for the Timeline Growth Series 2026.
The event focused on how technology can be harnessed to improve the outcomes for our clients. We explored new ways to blend human expertise with technological innovation, ensuring our service remains efficient.
It was an incredible opportunity to connect with other innovators in our field, and we’ve certainly come away with practical strategies to enhance your experience.
Some podcast news to look forward to
Finally, we have a teaser for next month, as our financial planning director, Emma Bird, is set to record a podcast in February!
We won’t reveal too much just yet, but it promises to be an exciting and, of course, informative session.
