  • DipFA - Diploma for Financial Advisers

    This diploma is a high-quality route for meeting the standards required to provide financial advice. The programme is designed to reflect the role of an IFA, providing individuals with a thorough understanding of the profession and practical skills to apply in practice.

  • FSRE - Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics

    This qualification delivers a comprehensive introduction to the UK financial services and focuses on the environment, key components and interrelationships of the financial system, and legal concepts relevant to retail financial advice. It appears in the apprenticeship standards for the Financial Services Administrator and the Compliance / Risk Officer.

  • AFAT - Advanced Financial Advice – Taxation

    This module builds your understanding of the UK taxation system and equips you to analyse the tax treatment of individuals and trusts when advising on investments.

  • AFAI - Advanced Financial Advice – Investments

  • Advanced Financial Advice – Protection (AFAP)

  • AFAR - Advanced Financial Advice – Retirement Planning

    Gain a thorough understanding of retirement planning, including state pensions, taxation, and the structure of defined-benefit (DB) and defined-contribution (DC) schemes, so you can effectively advise clients on their retirement options.

  • AFAC - Advanced Financial Advice – Coursework

    Through this coursework module, you’ll develop your ability to provide effective financial planning by gathering and analysing client information, and applying knowledge from previous modules to create and communicate tailored solutions.

  • Cert CII (MP) - Certificate in Mortgage Advice

    The Level 3 Certificate in Mortgage Advice meets the FCA’s qualification requirements for mortgage advisers. It develops an understanding of the sector and the mortgage process, enabling advisers to meet individual client needs.

  • CF1 - UK Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics

    This qualification develops an understanding of the financial services industry, including regulation and legislation.

  • CF6 - Mortgage Advice

    This qualification assesses a knowledge and understanding of the UK regulation environment in the financial services industry, mortgage products, repayment options and the giving of mortgage advice.

  • Cert CII (ER) - Certificate in Equity Release

    The Level 3 Certificate in Equity Release meets the FCA’s requirement for mortgage advisers and those advising on equity release schemes. In addition to developing advisory skills, the Certificate offers an understanding of equity release regulation, products, market practice, and customer needs.

  • ER1 - Equity Release

    This examination assesses a knowledge and understanding of the different types of equity release products, risks to the consumer associated with equity release and application of suitable equity release solutions according to the circumstances of different customers.

After hours

Away from work, Emma is usually spending time with her family, making memories with her husband, son and stepdaughter, or walking Rodney, her cockapoo. She loves thrillers, sunshine, music, good food, weddings, and the occasional whisky. She also enjoys the office book club, especially when the books are on the darker side.

On an ideal weekend, where can we find you?

With my family, spending time on the beach or exploring Dartmoor.

What activity would you win an Olympic medal in?

Spending more than £30 every time I step into Home Bargains or B&M.

Who would be at your dream dinner party?

Dolly Parton, Louis Theroux, and Alison Hammond.

What was your proudest moment as an IFA?

Becoming a director of Hansford Bell after the management buyout in 2021.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The clients, the team, and the chance to keep building the business. I love helping people at the times that matter most.

Who do you most enjoy working with?

Business owners, senior professionals, families, and people approaching or enjoying retirement who value clarity, structure, and having someone reliable beside them.
