Lauren helps support the compliance and operational framework that keeps Hansford Bell running properly. With 13 years’ experience in financial services across customer relations, compliance, risk, debt collection, and litigation, she helps the business stay aligned with regulatory standards while supporting good client outcomes behind the scenes.

  • R01 - Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics

    This qualification assesses a knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry, including regulation, legislation and the Code of Ethics.

  • R02 - Investment Principles and Risk

    This qualification assesses a knowledge and understanding of investment products and the application of the investment advice process.

  • R03 - Personal Taxation

    This qualification assesses a knowledge and understanding of the UK taxation system, and the ability to analyse the taxation treatment of individuals and trusts during the investment advice process.

  • R04 - Pensions and Retirement Planning

    This qualification assesses knowledge and understanding of, and the ability to analyse, pension and retirement planning issues.

  • R05 - Financial Protection

    This qualification assesses knowledge and understanding of, and the ability to analyse, financial protection planning issues.

  • R06 - Financial Planning Practice

    This qualification helps advisers develop and demonstrate their financial planning capabilities.

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning

    This level 4 Diploma meets the FCA's qualification requirements for retail investment advisers and helps candidates to develop core technical knowledge and financial planning capabilities.

  • IOR - Certificate in Operational Risk Management

    This qualification supports knowledge of operational risk, including how firms identify, assess, monitor, and manage risk within the business.

  • ICA - Advanced Certificate in Compliance

    This qualification develops understanding of compliance, regulation, governance, and the practical steps firms take to meet regulatory expectations.

After hours

Beyond the working day, Lauren is kept busy by her two little boys, who keep her firmly on her toes. Weekends are usually spent with her partner and family, exploring coastal towns such as Looe, enjoying life by the sea, or swimming at her local gym when time allows.

On an ideal weekend, where can we find you?

If the weather is hot, by an outdoor pool or exploring local beaches with my family.

Who would be at your dream dinner party?

Elvis Presley for the music, Peter Crouch for the laughs, and Gordon Ramsay for the food.

What activity would you win an Olympic medal in?

Social drinking. Ideally with cold wine in a proper tall-stemmed glass.

What three qualities draw you to new people?

Kindness, humour, and interesting stories.

What is the best gift you ever received?

My two precious boys.

What three small things make your day better?

The first cup of tea in the morning, sunshine, and my boys waking up happy.
